2. Definitions
- "Customer" means the person, business, or organisation that engages us to provide services
- "Services" means the pest control and pest management services we provide
- "Site" means the premises where services are to be carried out
- "Quote" means the written or verbal estimate we provide for the cost of services
3. Our Services
We provide professional pest control services across the North East of England, including but not limited to rodent control, insect control, bird management, wildlife management, and specialist services such as fumigation and heat treatments.
All services are carried out by qualified, NPTA-certified technicians using methods and products that comply with current UK legislation and industry best practice.
4. Quotations and Pricing
- All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are based on the information provided to us. If the scope of work changes or additional issues are discovered during a survey or treatment, we will discuss any revised costs with you before proceeding.
- Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- We reserve the right to adjust prices for ongoing contracts with 30 days' written notice.
5. Booking and Access
- By booking a service, you agree to these terms and conditions.
- You must provide safe and reasonable access to the site for our technicians to carry out the agreed work.
- If we are unable to access the site at the agreed time due to circumstances within your control, we may charge a call-out fee.
- You must inform us of any relevant health and safety hazards, access restrictions, or site-specific requirements before our visit.
6. Payment Terms
- Domestic customers: payment is due on completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Commercial customers: payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, debit card, and credit card.
- We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
7. Cancellation
- Domestic customers: if you have booked a service remotely (online or by phone), you have the right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided the service has not been fully performed. If you request that work begins within the cancellation period, you may be required to pay for services already provided.
- All customers: cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to the call-out charge.
- Ongoing contracts: either party may terminate an ongoing service contract by giving 30 days' written notice.
8. Guarantees and Follow-Up Treatments
- Where stated in our quotation, certain treatments include a guarantee period during which follow-up visits will be carried out at no additional charge.
- Guarantees are subject to the customer following any recommendations made by our technicians, including proofing, hygiene measures, and access to the site for follow-up visits.
- Guarantees do not cover re-infestations caused by new sources of pest activity unrelated to the original treatment.
9. Our Liability
- We carry full public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance.
- We will carry out all services with reasonable care and skill in accordance with industry standards.
- We are not liable for any damage caused by pests before our treatment, nor for any pre-existing damage to your property.
- Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the contract or the cost of re-performing the service, whichever is greater.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Your Responsibilities
- You must follow any advice, recommendations, or instructions provided by our technicians, including preparation before treatment and post-treatment guidance.
- You are responsible for informing us of any changes to the site or circumstances that may affect the service.
- You must not interfere with, remove, or tamper with any equipment, bait stations, or monitoring devices installed by us.
11. Health and Safety
We comply with all relevant health and safety legislation. Our technicians carry appropriate identification and PPE. We will provide safety data sheets and risk assessments on request.
